All at once it just ended…

All at once it just ended
Before it was known or understood it was gone
Years of back and forth, this and that, suddenly disappeared leaving emptiness in me like I've never experienced before in my three score and seven years

Confusion yes, but clarity too

Friends come for a reason and a season

A system that once worked no longer exists

Like a tune that I play often on my keyboard I will now have to reach back in my mind for memories that are good
The songs were good and touched the heart
All memories must now be sorted out
Take the good and the bad together and walk on
