Veterans Day
Veterans Day 2020 In memory of my brother Ed Slothus
This wreath has been placed here at the Vietnam War Memorial in Washington D.C. In memory of Edward G. Slothus.
Ed was born in February 1944 and died in October 2014 in a VA hospital in New Jersey. He was a soldier who volunteered for duty in the army and was stationed at Chu Lai and Pleiku from the fall of 1966 until the end of 1967. Ed’s death was caused by complications stemming from his exposure to “245T,” a chemical found in the defoliant known as Agent Orange, which was sprayed over many areas of Vietnam.
